Hi! I’m Jen. I’m a 34-year-old writer and editor originally from New Orleans, but now residing in Orlando, Fla. I write and copy edit for PEOPLE.com, and it’s my dream job. I write primarily for the Parents section. Which I love more than anything! But sometimes, it’s not the easiest job.
My husband, Josh, and I have been trying to conceive our first child for about three years now, and this is a blog that has been a long time coming for me. We are seven fertility treatments (including two IVF embryo transfers) and two miscarriages in as of July 2019.
This blog doubles as a personal place for me to share our ups and downs — mostly for me to be able to look back at and remember the process — as well as a place for others who have dealt with infertility to find support, encouragement, and understanding. I’m also hoping one day that a child (or children) of ours can look at it and understand just how loved and wanted they were before they even arrived.
Thanks for visiting. And if you’re here due to a struggle with infertility, please know you’re not alone.
